Big Fun, Small Footprint: Inside the New 798 Jump Website
The new 798 Jump website combines playful design, lightweight code, responsive mobile navigation, a dynamic product catalog built on a custom CMS, and a quote system designed specifically for Duvall's Amusement Rentals.
When it was time to rebuild the Duvall's Amusement Rentals website, we saw an opportunity to create something that felt as fun and energetic as the company itself, while making the technology behind it faster, lighter, and much easier to manage.
The result is the new 798jump.com: a colorful, mobile-friendly rental catalog designed for families, schools, churches, businesses, and event planners throughout Shreveport, Bossier City, and North Louisiana.
A Playful Design Built for Real Customers
Duvall's has been bringing big fun to North Louisiana since 1982, so the website needed more personality than a traditional corporate rental site.
The new design uses playful typography, bold colors, animated details, scalloped section dividers, large event photography, and easy-to-recognize rental categories. It feels energetic without making customers work harder to find what they need.
Visitors can quickly explore:
- Bounce houses and combo bouncers
- Water slides and water activities
- Interactive inflatables and games
- Carnival games
- Mechanical rides
- Dunking booths
- Concessions and party supplies
- Pick Up & Save rentals
Everything is designed to work just as comfortably on a phone as it does on a desktop computer.
Lightweight Code Makes the Experience Faster
The frontend was intentionally built to stay lean.
Instead of loading a large collection of unnecessary scripts and design libraries, the site uses purpose-built HTML, CSS, and lightweight JavaScript. JavaScript is added only where it improves the experience, such as the navigation, hero slider, category filters, product options, and My Quote panel.
That smaller footprint helps pages load quickly and respond smoothly, especially for customers browsing on mobile devices or slower connections.
It also makes the site easier to maintain. Every interactive feature has a clear purpose, without layers of unused code getting in the way.
A Smarter Product Catalog
Behind the design is a structured product-management system built on a custom content management system.
Each rental is stored as an individual product with its own:
- Product name
- Short and full descriptions
- Primary image
- Additional gallery images
- Rental categories
- Pricing information
- Available pricing options
- Search information
- Display order
Products can belong to multiple categories, including parent and child categories. That means an item can appear in its primary rental category while also being included in a program such as Pick Up & Save.
Products with multiple rental choices can have separate pricing options without creating confusing duplicate listings. Duvall's can update product information in the CMS, and those changes flow into the catalog and product-detail pages automatically.
Built Around Quotes, Not a Traditional Shopping Cart
Amusement rentals are not ordinary online purchases. Availability, delivery, event location, setup requirements, surface conditions, and event timing all matter.
Instead of forcing that process into a traditional e-commerce checkout, the new website uses a custom quote system.
Customers can browse the catalog, select products, choose available options, and add items to My Quote. Their selections remain stored locally in their browser while they continue exploring the site. Nothing is sent to Duvall's until the customer submits the completed quote request.
This gives customers the convenience of a shopping cart while preserving the personal service and availability confirmation required for event rentals.
Easier for the Duvall's Team to Manage
The previous website depended heavily on a traditional WordPress and WooCommerce structure. The new system separates content from presentation, making everyday updates much more straightforward.
The Duvall's team can manage products, descriptions, images, categories, pricing options, featured rentals, and other catalog information without rebuilding page layouts or editing frontend code.
Reusable website components also keep the design consistent. The site header, footer, product cards, category displays, buttons, quote tools, and interior-page heroes can be updated systematically rather than page by page.
Designed for Mobile from the Beginning
A large percentage of customers begin planning events from their phones. The new website treats mobile visitors as a primary audience, not an afterthought.
Navigation condenses into a custom mobile menu, product grids resize naturally, buttons remain easy to tap, quote tools stay accessible, and hero content centers properly on smaller screens.
Customers can browse rentals, review product photos, select pricing options, build a quote, and submit event information without needing to switch to a computer.
Better Structure for Search Engines and People
The new site also replaces long blocks of keyword-heavy content with a cleaner SEO structure.
Pages and rental categories use focused titles, clear headings, natural descriptions, descriptive links, and location references that fit the actual story. Shreveport, Bossier City, and North Louisiana remain important, but the content is written for real customers rather than repeating the same search phrases.
The result is a website that is easier for search engines to understand and much more pleasant for people to use.
Ready for the Next Big Event
The new 798 Jump website combines a playful visual identity with a lightweight technical foundation, a flexible product catalog, and a quote process designed specifically for the amusement-rental business.
It is faster, easier to navigate, simpler to manage, and ready to grow alongside Duvall's inventory.
Most importantly, it makes finding the fun feel like part of the fun.
